THE PARTIES

ACQUIRER

AngelEye Health

Nashville, TN-based digital health company focused on neonatal and pediatric care technology. Provides NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) and pediatric family communication and monitoring solutions. Products include live video streaming for NICU parents, family engagement platforms, and clinical workflow tools used in hospitals across the United States and internationally. Backed by growth equity investors; has been executing a strategic build-out of its pediatric digital care platform through acquisition and organic growth.

TARGET

SupportSpot (from Child Life On Call)

Digital platform dedicated to child life-informed psychosocial support and procedural preparation resources for pediatric patients and their families. Built by Child Life On Call (CLOC), a digital health company co-founded by certified child life specialists. SupportSpot provides hospital-ready digital tools for anxiety reduction, procedural preparation, and emotional support for children undergoing medical procedures — filling a gap that traditional child life staffing models cannot always cover due to resource constraints.

DEAL OVERVIEW

AngelEye Health acquired the SupportSpot platform from Child Life On Call in a transaction whose financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition was completed in March 2026. Following close, AngelEye integrates SupportSpot's child life-informed digital resources into its broader pediatric hospital platform, enabling hospitals to offer psychosocial support alongside AngelEye's existing NICU monitoring and family engagement tools.

For Child Life On Call, the divestiture of SupportSpot allows the company to focus on its core CLOC platform and child life specialist community, while ensuring that the SupportSpot technology continues to develop and scale within a well-capitalized healthcare technology company with existing hospital relationships.

"The addition of SupportSpot deepens our commitment to family-centered care across the entire pediatric care continuum — from the NICU to the pediatric ward. Every child deserves emotional support as part of their healing."

— AngelEye Health

MARKET CONTEXT

Child life specialists — certified healthcare professionals trained in child development and psychosocial support — are a standard feature of pediatric hospitals in the United States. However, coverage is constrained by staffing costs and availability, particularly during nights, weekends, and high-census periods. Digital platforms like SupportSpot expand access to child life-informed resources beyond what physical staffing can provide, addressing a well-documented gap in pediatric care delivery.

The acquisition reflects a broader consolidation trend in pediatric digital health: hospital systems and their technology partners are increasingly recognizing that pediatric care requires specialized, developmentally-informed digital solutions rather than adult-care tools adapted for children. AngelEye's NICU platform already serves a large base of U.S. children's hospitals; SupportSpot extends that relationship into new clinical areas.

ADVISORS

No financial advisors were disclosed for either party. Given the niche segment and privately-held status of both companies, the deal was likely structured directly between the parties.
