DEAL OVERVIEW
Whoop raised $575
million in its Series G on March 31, 2026 — the largest consumer health tech
venture round ever — at a $10.1 billion valuation. The round was led by
Collaborative Fund, with participation from a uniquely diverse syndicate
spanning sovereign wealth funds, healthcare strategics, global institutional
VCs, and some of the world's most recognizable athletes. The round was reported
by Bloomberg ahead of announcement, with the company confirming full details on
March 31.
The funding
arrives on the back of exceptional business performance: Whoop exited 2025 at a
$1.1 billion bookings run rate — up 103% year-over-year — and achieved cash
flow positivity in 2025. The company now has more than 2.5 million paying
members globally. The round comes before an expected IPO, which founder Will
Ahmed has described as a likely next step though no specific timeline has been
set. With $975M+ in total funding raised to date, Whoop is one of the
best-capitalized consumer health companies in the world ahead of a public
listing.
"AI will redefine what a personal health platform can do. We're
building the only platform credit professionals — and health-conscious people —
will ever need. This capital accelerates our push into healthcare, women's
health, and blood biomarker integration."
— Will Ahmed,
Co-Founder & CEO, Whoop
STRATEGIC INVESTMENT HIGHLIGHTS: ABBOTT AND
MAYO CLINIC
Two of the most
significant cap table additions in this round are Abbott Laboratories (the
$50B+ medical device giant) and the Mayo Clinic. Will Ahmed told TechCrunch
that the Abbott partnership "signals a broader push into health and
medical capabilities" with more details to come — hinting at potential
future integration between Whoop's continuous biometric monitoring and Abbott's
diagnostics and medical device portfolio (which includes the Libre continuous
glucose monitor). Mayo Clinic's investment validates Whoop's clinical data
quality and signals a potential partnership in healthcare research and
validated health monitoring programs.
Women's health is
a key growth vector: women represented 150% YoY growth in new Whoop members in
early 2026, with female members engaging with Whoop AI ~30% more than male
members. A dedicated hormonal biomarker blood panel (covering 11 biomarkers for
menstrual health integration) is launching in April 2026 in the US — a clear
expansion of Whoop from an athletic performance tool into a broader women's
health platform.
